Why Familiarity with Australian Court Hierarchy and Legal Distinctions is Crucial for Forensic Accountants.

" IT IS UNNECESSARY FOR FORENSIC ACCOUNTANTS TO BE FAMILIAR WITH THE AUSTRALIAN COURT HIERARCHY OR UNDERSTAND BASIC DIFFERENCES IN CIVIL AND CRIMINAL LAW. IN FACT, THE COURT SYSTEM AS A WHOLE IS IRRELEVANT TO FORENSIC INVESTIGATION". 

I would like to disagree with this statement that it is unnecessary for forensic accountants to be familiar with the Australian Court Hierarchy or understand basic differences in Civil and Criminal Law. Forensic accountants play a critical role in legal proceedings and often provide evidence to courts or tribunals. Therefore, it is essential for them to have a sound understanding of the legal environment in which they operate. Familiarity with the Australian Court Hierarchy and differences in Civil and Criminal Law can help forensic accountants prepare reports, conduct investigations, and present evidence that are consistent with legal requirements. 

Moreover, forensic accountants collaborate closely with legal practitioners such as lawyers, barristers, and judges, making it crucial for them to possess a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and its complexities to communicate and collaborate effectively on legal cases. 

To perform their duties with efficiency and effectiveness, forensic accountants must possess a firm understanding of legal system and its functions. Hence, it is imperative for them to be acquainted with the Australian Court Hierarchy and have a basic comprehension of the differences between Civil and Criminal Law.
